Polka Dots

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far! Don’t worry tomorrow is Friday which means the weekend is almost here. I had another awesome soccer game last night. Another win, 3-0, making this the 4th shut-out in 5 games. I’m so proud!

Today’s nails are simple yet colourful and fun. Polka-dot nails!

What I Used:
Base: Born Pretty Store White Gel Polish 6004
Dots: Cosmetic Arts Purple (no name), Color Club He Loves Me, China Glaze Sun Upon My Skin, Be More Pacific and Turned Up Turquoise, and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue. I used one dotting tool for all the dots.
Top: OPI Rapid Dry Top Coat

I absolutely love these colours together! I wanted a fun, colourful, summery nails and I think I nailed it! I used the same size dotting tool for the dots and just kept dotting until the white was mostly covered. (I like the bits of white that come through.)

Thanks everyone for stopping by! I hope everyone has a great weekend and a fabulous manicure!

Ahoy Matey!

Good Morning Everyone!

I’m super tired today as my soccer game last night started at 9, so I didn’t get home till 11:45, but we won! 2-1. I even stopped a penalty shot but ended up pulling my thumb muscle (pretty sad to say, I know!).

I am super excited to share my sailor inspired nails! I wanted to do something similar to this, but while painting my nails it just happened. The ideas just flew through me onto my nails (haha sounds so sappy), but they did and I am ecstatic with the results!

What I Used:
Base: Cosmetic Arts polish. It is a deep blue with hints of blue and silver sparkle. It is super subtle but amazing!
Dots: Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold (In LOVE with this colour) & OPI Angel with a Leadfoot (I know I’ve used this in the past 300 manis but its the perfect white! I’m going to need another pretty darn soon!) I used a large dotting tool for the dots.
Stripes: OPI (again…same as above) I used thin striping tape to create the stripes.
Studs: I ordered these anchor charms off eBay. I also have them in silver.

If you didn’t notice I changed my nail shape a bit. I don’t have long enough nails for the ballerinas nails I want, so I’ve just done a subtle angle on the edges. I’m hoping this will help with ripping/breaking.

Thanks everyone for stopping by! I hope you all have a great weekend, we are supposed to have another weekend of amazing weather!

Hot Pink and Glitter!

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We had some crazy weather here, one minute is was sunny, the next was snowing, then sunny, then HAIL and even rain. The weather needs to get its shit together. It’s spring, I want the spring weather! I wanted to express my need for nice weather by doing some hot pink nails!

What I Used:
Base: China Glaze Peonies and Park Ave.
Ring Finger: Sponged on silver glitter polish from Cosmetic Arts and then added one coat of Ginger Bread from Color Club (the gold glitter polish)
Stamping: Bundle Monster Festival plates BM-S305 and BM-S309 on the ring finger. (Hard to tell since the stamping lines are really fine.)

On my glitter finger I used a bit of white school glue on top of my base coat. I wanted to see if it would work as well as the peel off base coats I see people using. Well, It worked! Almost too well! The next day the glitter was receding from the tip a bit but held on for another day. I would definitely do that again.

Thanks everyone for stopping by! Just a reminder that you can find me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. I hope this wacky weather improves this week, I can’t handle all 4 season in a day. I’m ready for the heat! Thanks again! Enjoy your week!
