CONSTANCE THE COAST GUARD IS VERY SERIOUS

Good Morning, and Happy Birthday to my Sister!

She turns 25 today. And for her birthday I’ve created special nails. Have you heard of Theodore Tugboat? It was a children’s TV show when I was a kid. One of the characters on the show was Constance the Coast Guard ship. She was always very serious and everyone had to be on their best behaviour when she was around. So now with a long running joke, I did the coast guard ship on my nails! Here is Constance:

What I Used:
Base: a pale blue Color Club polish (no name on bottle)
Stamping (thumb & ring finger): I stamped using PUEEN plate 76 onto a silicone mat and coloured the image in using a thin paint brush. I used China Glaze Liquid Leather, White on White, At Vase Value, Metro-Pollen-Tin & Seas the Day and Essie I’m Addicted.
Stamping (other fingers): Same PUEEN plate and Seas the Day
Words: I had written the words using the same small brush and a lamp/magnifying glass combo.

Thank you everyone for stopping by! I know I said I was going to post my 2nd set of fake nails from vacation, but my sister comes first. I just hope she likes it!  Happy 25th Birthday Constance!

May the 4th Be With You

Good Morning!

Happy Star Wars day! I have some AMAZING nails to share with you this morning. I think these are the best I’ve ever created! My inspiration came from the first film, Episode IV A New Hope. Here are the photos I used for my inspiration. (Taken from Google.)

I did the different scenes on my hands! I used a pair of thin brushes, dotting tools, a makeup sponge and a lot of time to create these looks!

What I Used:
OH MY GOSH. I used 11 polishes! For both hands! Here’s the list of them. Sally Hansen Branch Out, Sweet Talker & Ginger Zinger, Essie The Girls are Out, Color Club Wild Flower & a brown polish with no name, Revlon Electric and China Glaze Liquid Leather, White on White, Don’t Honk Your Thorn & What A Pansy.

Above is my right hand, painted with my left, non-dominant hand. This is the best thing I’ve ever done with my left hand. I am in complete AW on how this turned out.

This turned out just how I imagined it would. The beautiful sunset on Tatooine. Here’s a few more pictures because I LOVE STAR WARS!

Thank you everyone for stopping by! I had the best time creating these nails.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and May the Force Be With You!

Marble Veins

Good Morning Nail World.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far! It felt like a Thursday all week so I’m finally glad it’s actually Thursday! I tried to a new technique on the blog today. I attempted marble veins.

What I Used:
Base: Zoya Aspen
Veins: Cosmetic Arts light Grey polish & Wet’N’Wild Black Creme

After my base dried I squiggled on the grey polish using the thinnest brush I have. I used a slightly larger brush to put acetone on the grey veins to dilute them. I did the same for the black lines but I didn’t dilute it quite as much.

My inspiration is the piece of marble we have in our shower. (We have a built-in recessed shelf in our shower for our shampoo bottles. The edges are all marble). My veins are quite strong compared to my inspiration, but I still love the outcome.

Thank you everyone for stopping by. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
