Poppies for Remembrance Day

Good Morning Nail Peeps,

I hope everyone is having a good week so far! As mentioned on Monday, I have poppy nails to share.  While driving to work this week, Christmas lights have been turned on by the City down the main street. Don’t get me wrong, I love the holidays but turning the lights on before Remembrance Day is disrespectful. Why can we not wait a whole 11 days before starting another holiday and take those 11 days to remember how we are so lucky to have what we have today.

Drives me a bit nuts. I even sent an email to my ward Councillor. Anyways! Nail time!

Products
Base: Wet’N’Wild Yo Soy.
Poppies: Zoya Amal, Nicole by OPI Sensational Scarlet & OPI 4 in the Morning.

I used a dotting tool to create the poppies and its center. I topped it all off with Sinful Colors matte top coat.

Thank you everyone for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend and please take a moment to remember those who fought (and are fighting) for us.

Remembrance Poppies

Good Morning Everyone.

I hope everyone is having a good day so far. On Monday I told everyone I was committed to getting back into workout daily. Today I can say I’ve done 3 consecutive days of working out. I’m pretty proud that I’m finally using my will power to get these workouts done.

Today I have nails in honour of our veterans, for Remembrance day. Each year after Halloween everyone jumps into Christmas but we should always take the 2 first weeks in November to remember and honour the people who fought for our country.

What I Used:
Base: Bundle Monster Button Down gel polish
Dry Brush: Color Club Wild Cactus & What a Shock
Poppies: Color Club Red de Rio & PUEEN plate 93

I dry brushed on the green polishes to represent leaves on the poppies. Then I stamped the poppies on top. I love how this turned out. The red is such a deep red.

Thank you to everyone that takes the time to look at my blog. Please also take time tomorrow to think and reflect on our veterans and how they help shape Canada as it is today and how lucky we are to be here because of their efforts.

Love you all
~Genevieve
