Fishy Fish Fish

Good Morning Nail World,

I hope everyone is having a good week. Last week dragged on, but thankfully this week is moving along nicely. My inspiration for today’s nails was scales, mermaids and shells.

What I Used:
Base: China Glaze White on White
Stamping: Bundle Monster plate BM-502 with a clear stamper. I did a gradient on the plate using China Glaze Gamer Glam and Orchid Your Wish Come True & Playmaker
Studs: I ordered the seashells from eBay & the round gold beads were a gift from my BF.

This turned out super cute! I was worried the stamping wasn’t going to be as bright as it is. When I looked at it through the stamper it looked so pale. I stamped anyways hoping it would work and it did!

Thank you everyone for stopping by! The title of this post is credited to my sister. I asked her what would be a good title and in her half sleepy state on our way to work she said fishy fish fish. So I went with it! Thanks again, have a wonderful weekend!

Vacation!

Good Morning Nail World!

Guess who booked a trip to the Caribbean! This girl! (And my BF, of course). To celebrate the up-coming vacation I did my nails to match!

What I Used:
Base: China Glaze Highlight of my Summer (Just bought this polish and it is GORGEOUS!)
Stamping: Color Club What A Shock & the reformulated What a Shock. MoYou London Tropical plate 11. Wet’N’Wild Black Creme & MoYou Tropical plate 01.

I stamped the reformulated What A Shock first, then the original for a layered effect. I stamped the flowers on last.

I added a bit of sparkle at the end. I like the way this turned out. Thank you everyone for stopping by! I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Marble Veins

Good Morning Nail World.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far! It felt like a Thursday all week so I’m finally glad it’s actually Thursday! I tried to a new technique on the blog today. I attempted marble veins.

What I Used:
Base: Zoya Aspen
Veins: Cosmetic Arts light Grey polish & Wet’N’Wild Black Creme

After my base dried I squiggled on the grey polish using the thinnest brush I have. I used a slightly larger brush to put acetone on the grey veins to dilute them. I did the same for the black lines but I didn’t dilute it quite as much.

My inspiration is the piece of marble we have in our shower. (We have a built-in recessed shelf in our shower for our shampoo bottles. The edges are all marble). My veins are quite strong compared to my inspiration, but I still love the outcome.

Thank you everyone for stopping by. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
