Vacation!

Good Morning Nail World!

Guess who booked a trip to the Caribbean! This girl! (And my BF, of course). To celebrate the up-coming vacation I did my nails to match!

What I Used:
Base: China Glaze Highlight of my Summer (Just bought this polish and it is GORGEOUS!)
Stamping: Color Club What A Shock & the reformulated What a Shock. MoYou London Tropical plate 11. Wet’N’Wild Black Creme & MoYou Tropical plate 01.

I stamped the reformulated What A Shock first, then the original for a layered effect. I stamped the flowers on last.

I added a bit of sparkle at the end. I like the way this turned out. Thank you everyone for stopping by! I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Marble Veins

Good Morning Nail World.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far! It felt like a Thursday all week so I’m finally glad it’s actually Thursday! I tried to a new technique on the blog today. I attempted marble veins.

What I Used:
Base: Zoya Aspen
Veins: Cosmetic Arts light Grey polish & Wet’N’Wild Black Creme

After my base dried I squiggled on the grey polish using the thinnest brush I have. I used a slightly larger brush to put acetone on the grey veins to dilute them. I did the same for the black lines but I didn’t dilute it quite as much.

My inspiration is the piece of marble we have in our shower. (We have a built-in recessed shelf in our shower for our shampoo bottles. The edges are all marble). My veins are quite strong compared to my inspiration, but I still love the outcome.

Thank you everyone for stopping by. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Easter Bunny

Good Morning!

One week closer to Easter and 4 days till MOMS BIRTHDAY! I’ll have Birthday nails for mom on Mondays post. Today’s post is all about Easter!

What I Used:
Base: China Glaze If in Doubt, Surf it Out.
Carrots: Color Show Orange Fix, China Glaze Stoked to be Soaked & Essie Mojito Madness.
Bunny: China Glaze White on White, Feel the Breeze & Wet’N’Wild Black Creme

I used a thin paint brush for everything. Free-handed it all. The carrots were so tiny I only ended up doing one hand. I went to work the next day with only one hand painted.

I took my 3 attempts to get the bunny butt right. First time was too small, second was really gooey, so for the third I took all the polish off and started fresh. It worked that time. What a cute little bunny butt!

Thank you everyone for stopping by! I hope everyone has a great weekend!
