Something terrible happened on the weekend.
Not to be overly dramatic or anything but I BROKE 3 NAILS ON MY PICTURE TAKING HAND! THIS IS TERRIBLE! I have 3 awful looking nubs now. My nail painting days are over! *sobs uncontrollably*.
But really, it look terrible, so terrible in fact I used my Cinderella hand for today’s post. Prepare for some awkward photos!
What I Used:
Base: Squeeze the Day from KB Shimmer Summer Collection
Dots: Aspen from Zoya. I used a medium-sized dotting tool to create the dots.
It was incredibly difficult to hold the polish bottle with my Cinderella hand. It felt so awkward. (And I think it looks really awkward.)
Thank you everyone for stopping by! I hope everyone was able to get through this post ok. I can barely handle how awkward my hand looks. Thanks again. See everyone on Thursday.
Good Morning Nail World.
I hope everyone is having a great week so far! It felt like a Thursday all week so I’m finally glad it’s actually Thursday! I tried to a new technique on the blog today. I attempted marble veins.
What I Used:
Base: Zoya Aspen
Veins: Cosmetic Arts light Grey polish & Wet’N’Wild Black Creme
After my base dried I squiggled on the grey polish using the thinnest brush I have. I used a slightly larger brush to put acetone on the grey veins to dilute them. I did the same for the black lines but I didn’t dilute it quite as much.
My inspiration is the piece of marble we have in our shower. (We have a built-in recessed shelf in our shower for our shampoo bottles. The edges are all marble). My veins are quite strong compared to my inspiration, but I still love the outcome.
Thank you everyone for stopping by. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Good Morning Nail World
I hope everyone is having a great week! Mine has been laid back. We picked out more paint last night to do the hallway. I think I’m almost painted out!
Today’s nails are St Patrick’s Day themed. Be warned, I removed my fake nails and are trying really hard to keep my real nails from breaking. They are stubby! But I need to push through these short nails because I’m tired of wearing fake ones.
What I Used:
Base: Essie Spin the Bottle
Clovers: I free-handed the clovers using the second smallest dotting tool I have, and a thin paint brush. I used Zoya Honor. I topped it all off with Color Club Si Vous Please!
Since the base colour is pretty similar to my skin complexion I wanted to add a bit of sparkle. I felt the polish and my fingers were too close. I do like it better with the sparkle, cause who doesn’t love to sparkle!
Thank you everyone for stopping by! I hope you have a great weekend! Remember daylight savings time begins on Sunday. Even though we lose an hour of sleep, we get more sun!
